What makes Kass Therapy & Hypnosis different from traditional therapy?
We blend traditional psychotherapy with clinical hypnosis and cognitive techniques for a tailored, modern approach that’s designed for real results. Dr. Kass doesn’t perform cookie-cutter sessions. Our sessions are creatively designed with your needs in mind.
How does clinical hypnosis work in therapy?
Clinical hypnosis is a tool that helps retrain your subconscious mind and makes it easier to break negative patterns, build confidence, and make a positive change. It’s completely safe, trusted, and more effective than just “talking about it.”
Do I need to believe in hypnosis for it to work?
Nope! Hypnosis isn’t magic, it’s psychology. You won’t be staring at a pendulum or be asked to “look into my eyes,” like in the movies. Whether you’re skeptical or curious, as long as you’re open to the process, you’ll experience results.
What kinds of issues do you help with?
Dr. Kass specializes in habit change, trauma healing, confidence building, addiction recovery, anxiety reduction, relationship struggles, grief processing, and more. If your mind is getting in the way, we help you take back control.
What does it feel like to be in a hypnotic state?
Hypnotherapy (or being in a hypnotic state) is similar to meditation. You’re in a deeply relaxed, almost trance-like condition, however you remain focused and level-headed. Your ability to be open is enhanced, allowing a greater level of awareness to occur.
Are services covered by insurance?
We do not participate with any insurance companies, which essentially means we’re not “in-network.” Regardless, many clients are partially reimbursed by their insurance companies if their plans include “out-of-network” benefits.
Dr. Kass is licensed to practice Psychotherapy, many health insurance policies provide some coverage for individual psychotherapy sessions. Please check with your individual insurance companies on their policies for out-of-network benefits.
Claim submission and reimbursement is between the client and their health insurance provider. Regardless of reimbursement, clients are solely responsible for payment at the time of the session.

What is your rate per session?

What is the No Surprises Act and why am I getting a Good Faith Estimate (GFE)?
On January 1, 2022, the government started a policy called the No Surprises Act. Health care providers now are obligated to offer patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance a bill estimate for services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) in writing for the expected cost of any non-emergency services. If you wish a GFE prior to starting services, reach out to me and I will provide you with one. To learn more about the
